[Heaven is not nearly the safe place it was before.
Individual heavens are peaceful enough; souls still at rest, comforted with familiar settings and occasionally with family, gentle and serene and far, far removed from the trials and tribulations of a life spent on Earth. These are pockets of peace to which Castiel can retreat, can send his troops so that they can regroup. Most souls are far too entrenched in their own personal paradises to even notice the angel's presences.
Still, it can be difficult to tell just whose heaven Castiel is walking -running, retreating- into. He tries to avoid those with houses and streets he recognizes from when he walks the Earth, but sometimes friends -enemies, acquaintances- are most comfortable in buildings he's never visited in vessel form.
Castiel knows he's in trouble when he enters a heaven and compacts back into Jimmy Novak's familiar body. All six wings, four faces, Chrysler-sized light pillar of him is folded into two arms, two legs and a trenchcoat and he knows he made the mistake of disrupting the peace of someone who knows who he is. He can't leave, not yet, not with Raphael's patrols sniffing about for him, but he has to find a place to lie low and remain undetected. Hopefully whoever owns this heaven isn't aware enough to notice him.]
