[A small, dark room greeted them upon awakening; the only light bled in as diluted moonlight from a small window about eight feet off the ground. The floor was concrete and dipped in the center toward a drainage grate; occasionally sewage trickled beneath it and made the room smell, but it wasn't anything its occupants weren't used to.
One shadowed figure was propped upright against a nearby wall, his wrists snapped in cuffs anchored to the brick with iron bolts and chains, just short enough to keep his arms above his head and unable to fully rest.
Another figure lay across the room, huddled in a corner and unmoving. The only sound was the plip plip of sewage and their ragged breathing.]

If you're sorry you'll let us go.
[His stomach rolls and Mikey closes his eyes for a moment until it passes.]

My name's Michelangelo.
[Trying to clear his head, Mikey takes stock of his surroundings. The guy has a gun, he heard the safety click off earlier.
But his arms are free now, and maybe he can reach Leo. His arms are free, he's not pinned to the wall, and he's got a better chance of breaking free than he did just an hour ago.]

Shit. His legs are chained. So much for more freedom. But Leo's out cold, and from the way the men were talking, they didn't even know Donnie and Raph existed. They couldn't count on a rescue, and Mikey is gonna have to try and keep a clear head if they want any chance of escape.
Pulling the ice pack away from his face, he looks over at Leo worriedly.]
Is he okay?
no subject
I mean, shit, I did that male nursing thing for a while...dropped outta school though. His pulse is weird, so he might be in shock. S'not good. Or he might just be exhausted. Better than shock.

But Donnie isn't here, it's just Mikey and he's hurt and overwhelmed and has no idea where he is.
What would Donnie do? Mikey wracks his brain, then speaks up.]
I'm thirsty.

It's uneven and too shallow. He swallows hard.]
Leo ...

Mikey...

Leo, hey. I'm here, bro.
no subject
Sorry.

You should be, you really worried me there.
But you're gonna be okay, we'll get out of here.
[Ignoring the dizziness and nausea, he forces himself to be as okay as he can, for Leo. Leo needs him, he's gonna have to be the responsible brother for a while.]

You...need to go. Find help...get safe, and...if it's possible, come back for me later.
no subject
[His voice is stern, and he glares stubbornly at Leo.]
I'll figure something out, we'll get out of here.
[Wincing at the pull against his jaw, he reluctantly lifts the icepack to his cheek.]

I can't move. ...I don't have anything left. You won't make it carrying me.
no subject
We're busting out of here, together.
[Now that Mikey's got something to distract himself with, he makes use of his moment of clarity to look around the room. The hole in the floor is too small for either one of them to fit down, the window is high up and way too small. There's the door, but that guy keeps locking it behind him as he comes and goes.
Think, Michelangelo. Think.]

Leo runs through all the possible scenarios in his head. All of them end with Mike getting shot and killed because he's dead weight.] Mike... [he tries again, a little stronger this time. Then he pauses, brow furrowing as his brain finally catches up.]
...what're you doing down here?
no subject
The new guy let me down. My legs are chained up, but I can move a bit more.
[See? That's something, right?
Right? ._.]

[At least, that's what Derek said. Mike had been a little too out of it to notice at the time.]

His name's Derek, he said the last guy was a psycho and he was kinda glad you killed him. He's kinda twitchy, but he's not so bad for a captor.
no subject
They could try something else.]
...Mike. I have an idea.

[OH THANK GOD BECAUSE MIKE WAS REALLY NOT COMING UP WITH ANYTHING HERE.]
